WSLF’s Trusts and Estate Planning and Administration practice group provides advice in all aspects of estate planning, including estate, gift and income tax planning for lifetime and postmortem transfers. We take pride in our ability to focus on and provide tailored planning solutions for our diverse client base. No two clients are identical, nor should their estate plans be. As a result of this tailored solution approach, we have developed lasting, long-term relationships with our estate planning clients which span, in many cases, several family generations.

WSLF’s Attorneys in RI have decades of experience in drafting and implementing estate plans ranging from simple to highly complex, utilizing generation-skipping transfers, charitable giving techniques, annuity trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, asset protection planning, family limited partnerships and limited liability companies. Through the estate planning process, WSLF’s Attorneys in RI assist our clients in formulating a plan, committing the plan to writing, and implementing the plan through lifetime transfers, beneficiary designations, funding trusts and other appropriate vehicles.

We regularly assist and advise fiduciaries throughout the course of their duties, whether as trustees, executors or court-appointed administrators. Our work frequently includes identification, valuation, and taxation of probate and non-probate assets, preparation of federal and state estate tax returns, and disposition/distribution of assets. Moreover, having a long history of providing advice to fiduciaries, WSLF’s Attorneys in RI are often called upon to serve as trustees and executors for our clients.
